Is it the convenience of the salon? Is it the one-stop shopping of having all of your beauty needs met under one roof? Is it the vibe of the atmosphere you feel engulf you as you enter the salon? Or is it the chemistry between you and your chosen stylist?

Yes, I agree, we all want convenience. Being able to have everything conveniently located in one spot would be ideal, but not always practical. I mean, there are clients that I see that love the way I color their hair, yet are forever committed to the person who cuts their hair.
I also have to admit that just as important as is the meal, the presentation of it must bespot on! What that translates into, is that the atmosphere where I do business is crucially important to my comfort level…especially if I am spending more than 15 minutes in that space.
But what is it about the chemistry between you and the guy or gal who’s doing your hair? Is it the way they listen to all of your concerns, both likes and dislikes…and then plays out the appointment with attention and a mindful thought process that mimics what you actually expressed? Could it be the way they caress your scalp…manipulating away all of your stress and cares of the day? Is it the way they make you feel like you are the only one who matters at that very moment? Perhaps it’s the caring shoulder you know you could lean on… or the realization that they have not only listened and consoled you through your life’s issues…but done so without judgement? Is it that they remembered your “special day“…and cared more about the month and the day than the year? Is it the warm embrace or the heartfelt handshake on your way out the door?
