As we all know the proper skin care can delay the natural process of skin aging and put a stop to skin problems.
If you don’t have time for intensive skin care, pamper yourself with the basic process. There are only two choices to have a healthy glowing skin: good skin care and healthy life style is enough to help your skin delay from natural aging and put a stop to skin problems. Here are the five basic steps that you can start to have a healthy glowing skin:
1. Protect yourself from the sun
The most important way to take care of your skin is guard your skin from sunlight. An exposure to sunlight most of the time will cause wrinkles, freckles, age spots and rough, dry skin. If you are exposed to the sun most of the time it can also cause skin cancer. To get the most complete protection:
- Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m
- Wear protective clothing
- Use sunscreen when you're in the sun
2. Don't smoke
Smoking is the number cause of skin aging and wrinkles. Smoking will kill the tiny blood vessels in the outmost layer of your skin that will lessen blood flow. This reduces the oxygen and nutrients such as vitamin A which is very important to your skin. In addition it will also damage the collagen and elastin that gives strength and elasticity to your skin.
So if you are a smoker and you want to protect your skin, and then quit smoking. You may ask your physician on treatment or ways to stop smoking.
3. Treat your skin gently
Keep your skin gentle especially in cleansing and shaving:
- Limit bath time
- Avoid strong soaps
- Shave carefully
- Pat dry
- Moisturize dry skin4. Eat a healthy diet
4. Manage stress
When you are stressed your skin will also be affected. Stress is the number cause of acne, allergies and other skin problems. To have a healthy skin and state of mind, take steps on how to manage your stress.
