Relationship Wrecked

Wow can you believe Lamar Odem is trying to do a reality show with one of the Kardashians in the middle of the NBA playoffs?? It’s so silly. Talk about a wife seriously not caring about her husband's career.

So he's willing to cater to her so much that he puts himself in a completely unfocused position during the most important time of the year of his job, and she's selfish and fame whoring enough to even want that from him.

Beyond the playoffs, there is the fact that relationships in our times, are so difficult to maintain as it is. There's so much temptation in the world, and it's so difficult to communicate. Partly because hardly anyone has even seen really stable relationships to reference from, and partly because this is the texting / computer/ digital generation, which means that people lack certain interpersonal skills anyway. But the main reason relationships have difficulties these days is because a healthy relationship requires that each person puts the needs of the other first, and then you have his symbiotic, supportive thing going on.  But most people rightfully believe that they are safer relying on themselves, and so naturally they put their own needs first. This Lamar and Khloe show is a great example of not putting your partner's needs first, at least on her part. Maybe I'm particularly irritated because I'm a basketball fan, and I clearly see the guy off his game. On a side note, to put a new relationship on TV with all of its fragility, and add to that, the stress of cameras, the insecurities of not being able to relax, and the prying critical eyes of the public in your business, means that you must not give a damn about the relationship. Oh well, anything for fame. I guess that's the message of the show.
