ADELE has become a gay icon after she was voted Pop Artist of the Year by the listeners of a gay radio station.
The Rolling In The Deep singer won 55 per cent of the 4,000 votes, while nearest rival Lady Gaga got 19 per cent.
Gaydar’s programme controller Robin Crowley said: “Adele has numerous Grammys and Brits, but this is the accolade she’s been waiting for.”
Gay rugby star Gareth Thomas was voted Celebrity of the Year.
