The New Face of L'Oreal: Liya Kedebe

Liya Kebede is the latest beauty to be named as a face of L'Oreal Paris. Kebede, has appeared on numerous magazine covers including three times on the cover of US Vogue . According to Forbes, Kebede is eleventh-highest-paid top model in the world. Kebede was born and raised in Ethiopia and discovered by a photographer there.
Kebede's big break came when Tom Ford asked her for an exclusive contract for his Gucci Fall/Winter 2000 fashion show. Her popularity in the fashion industry sky-rocketed when she appeared on the cover of the May 2002 edition of Paris Vogue, which dedicated the entire issue to her!! She also appeared alongside Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie in The Good Shepherd. She is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Health Organization and has her own charity, which helps to ensure that pregnant women have access to good health care.
