Instead of walking down the runway this season, I was given the opportunity to jump into Mercedes Benz Fashion Week from the opposite side of the spectrum. I joined the excitement of the exhilarating fashions shows from off the runways!

Walking into swarms of photographers outside of Lincoln Center is how my days at fashion week began. Camera and television crews were determined to capture each and every attendees chic unique style. High stiletto leather boots, printed tights, long Maxi skirts, animal print bags, and rich fur pieces were common trends modeled by the guests.

Unforgettable fashionistas expressing their style in an eccentric manner served as a muse for photographers and bloggers. A man sporting a bright green colored block suit paired with spiked sunglasses and platform heels was one of the many individuals exposing their original style to the fashion world!

In addition to captivating sights of bold pieces worn by fashionistas, the most invigorating scene at Fashion Week were the lively runway shows. I attended a variety of shows and presentations including BCBG MAXARIA, Katya Leonvich, Custo Barcelona, and Mathieu Mirano.

BCMGMAXARIA showcased a number of belt trenches, mid-length color blocked and paneled dresses, and wide-leg trousers. The use of geometric abstraction with the addition of fur pieces was present throughout the collection.
BCBGMAXARIA provides a bold, sophisticated, and elegant look that is wearable for Fall.

Drama was created on the runway at the Custo Barcelona show by an eclectic combination of fit and oversized lines on the garments. A variety of wool and metallic colors were the key details of this collection. The vibrancy and boldness of the clothing paired with the upbeat, high energy show made Custo Barcelona's Fall collection truly monumental.
