Faith in Fashion

Every year Christians in the fashion industry pray and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ at an event called Fashion Week Outreach.

Ministry teams and volunteers are sent out to dress runway shows, pass out bibles, and pray for fashion professionals!

Faith in Fashion Photo"During the busiest and most stressful time of the year in fashion, we see the need to serve fashion professionals by offering prayer, free food and water, and a peaceful place to refresh at the American Bible Society," says outreach coordinator Leah Walton.

The Models for Christ ministry team and volunteers came as far as Australia to prayer walk and support professionals at Lincoln Center. Showing ongoing love, support, and encouragement for participants in Fashion Week is a primary focus of the outreach.

The response is amazing. People are shocked and so happy to receive prayer and often will share they are having trouble at work, or a family member is sick. We are there to encourage them and love them with no strings attached," Walton reports.

Faith in FashionMany outreach opportunities in fashion continue to happen throughout the year. Models for Christ, a non-profit ministry seeking to honor and know God, hosts a variety of outreach events, industry-relevant bible studies, and projects of compassionate service. Models, designers, photographers, stylists and other professionals come together in fellowship in major fashion capitals around the world.
