Designer St. Bessarion's Orthodox showcased his Jew-inspired collection. The models stomped down the runway in synagogue-worthy hats with payos attached. Some of the ladies wore maxi skirts and suit coats, but there was nary a talis-like shawl in sight.
Although there were some great pieces in the collection there’s something that makes me a little uncomfortable about copying the look of members of a religion. I’m not gonna go out wearing a tall hat that resembles what the pope wears, it just doesn’t seem kosher.
