Swedish brand Aniv von Borche and Dutch ski wear brand Goldbergh had a fantastico event at the Sheraton Diane Majestic hotel during Milan Fashion Week. Planet Fashion TV and Hype Fashions coordinated the fashion shows for both designers. Before the show started there was the usual chaos of last minute changes, organizing the models line up, music and video. The make up and hair stylists perfected the girls look. A new brush on the market is called "hair free". This amazing brush is made of ceramic coated plates. The plates heat up with a blow dryer and act like a flat iron without the damage. I have to say I tried this brush myself and was surprised by the result and shine left on my hair. Backstage the energy was electric.
The changers helped the girls in and out of their outfits and the designers gave a last once over before the models showcased their clothing. Just a little background on Aniv von Borche, he is graduate of Istituto di Moda Burgo in Milan, Aniv has also studied at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and Central Saint Martins in London. He began his career in fashion at the age of 16, working for renowned fashion houses in New York before pursuing his studies in Europe. In 2009, Aniv was selected to showcase his designs for the Upcoming Designers of Milan. Since then, Aniv von Borche has shown in Stockholm Fashion Week and Copenhagen Fashion Week. This years show was just a combination of Scandinavian minimalist style with New York City edge and Italian high fashion. The collection included asymmetrical shapes on subtle black fabric with accents of black leather. Aniv von Borche is a collection for both men and women. Dutch duo Sandra Peet and Lieke van den Berg are the creators of Goldbergh. They launched the women's luxurious but sports fanatic ski wear in 2009. Their show opened with Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and "All the Single Ladies" kept the vibe of the show upbeat. Fur accents around the hoods of the jackets paired with giant fluffy white or black goat fur boots gave the show the feeling as if you were in the mountains yourself. The knit hats featured a giant rabbit pom pom. The cozy Après ski collection also featured fur accents on a cream sweater poncho. And no fashion show in Italy is complete without popping a few bottles of Prosecco. Cincin!

London based Meera Sharma graduated from the University of Westminster with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design in 2012. Her graduate collection, titled Femme Fatale, is inspired by the female superhero and looks to the two layers of the powerful women. Femme Fatale was chosen for the prestigious Westminster fashion press show and immediately won attention from the press with her “innovative, strong and timeless” designs.
Subsequently Femme Fatale featured on a variety of sites and publications including Tatler, WGSN, 1883 magazine and Volt.
Within month’s Sharma was nominated for best newcomer designer, named as one of the ten hottest Brit labels to check out and was worn by music sensation Stooshe in a three-page spread for Fiasco Magazine.
Sharma is building a presence for herself worldwide, with her “distinct aesthetic vision” designing for confident women who are not afraid to express themselves. These are the women who people aspire to be like.
The multi-talented young designer has expanded her skill into the world of journalism thanks to her fashion expertise and personality work. Sharma contributes to a variety of online publications, has appeared in the international Nokia advert and has interviewed the likes of Cheryl Cole, Little Mix, Conor Maynard, The Wanted and Jay Sean to name a few.
Meera Sharma's debut collection, titled Femme Fatale, is inspired by the female superhero, who to Meera is the ultimate woman; a woman that is sexy, strong and powerful. Meera's collection looks at the two layers to the powerful super women, which is represented by the contrasting fabric choices of leathers, plastics, sheer fabrics and cut outs. The all black collection features leather straps inside the garments allowing them to be styled in different ways.
At Planet Fashion, we love to do events in the coolest places in the world. So you know we had to go to the Olympics in London!
We went to to the best spot in London, brought the best new menswear and sportswear designers, invited some Olympians, VIP and TV personalities and did a fashion show / cocktail party. Sarah Roth Oosten from Hype Fashion Show Productions came in from France to run the fashion show, and soul singer singer Rachel D'Arcy opened the night with a performance.
For those who have never been to London, Mayfair is kind of like their version of Beverly Hills. It's the ritzy part with all the high end stores. Prince Charles has an apartment there. What's awesome about Mayfair though is that its clean, safe, and central to everything. Planet Fashion had our Olympic event in Mayfair at a new place called Le Salon. The upstairs is a michelin star restaurant called Kitchen Joel, featuring the work of acclaimed chef chef Joël Antunès. The downstairs is one of the hottest new clubs in London. Prince Harry was recently seen partying there.
When you're in London it's a must to go there.
Anyway, since it was the Olympics we brought a sportswear brand that we have been following for a while and absolutely love, Goldbergh from Holland.
Omg, you have got to see their winter wear!! You will fall in love. We also featured the debut of a handmade menswear line called Majella Le Blanc http://majellaleblanc.com/ from Canada.
Tempus Magazine, and The Anonymous Concierge Services were also on hand for the fun.
