Everyone deals with perspiration whether it happens during workout routines and exercises, during a work schedule due to the faulty air conditioning system in the office or due to nervousness on a first date. Regardless of what causes the body to heat up, sweating is the body’s natural way of cooling us down. While there have been innovations in the athletic apparel industry providing superior comfort and increased moisture management, business wears have remained the same for several decades.

Boston-based company, Ministry of Supply has developed a line of shirts called “Apollo” making use of NASA spacesuits technology that will adapt to its wearer and the environment to control perspiration, reduce odor and provide a cooling effect. The Apollo brand is a knit, synthetic (and proprietary) blend of fibers that use “Phase Change Materials” to control your body temperature by pulling heat away from your body and storing it in the shirt; and when body temperature goes down as a result of weather change or from the cooling effect of air conditioning, the shirt releases the stored heat to keep you feeling warm.
