Q: WHERE IS YOUR MODELING AGENCY LOCATED?
A: My Modeling Agency’s headquarters are located in Lancaster, PA but we have regional agents in NY and in the DC/VA area.

Q: HOW DO YOU OBTAIN MODELS?
A: We obtain models 80% by referrals through our company’s network and 20% via social media network like facebook and Model Mayhem.

Q: ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR MODELS?
A: Yes there are. Firstly a positive, committed, and humble disposition is a must. Secondly they must fit into one of our divisions promotional/Print-commercial/Runway-High-fashion by meeting the stats and experience requirements. Thirdly, they must be marketable.

Q: WHAT FASHION TRENDS HAVE YOU SEEN ON THE RUNWAY LATELY?
A: I have seen a lot of Bohemian wild to classy chic styles with bold patterns and colors as well as very classy structured trends with a lot of accessorizing. Also gray is the new black with silver and gold accesories mixed to add some classy sparkle to the looks.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FASHION TREND THIS SPRING?
A: I would have to say the 70’s American Indian look! Free, wild, spirited look with the strapless flowing stops.. turquoise beaded and braided belts, moccasins or tie high sandals with the natural color vest!

Q: WHAT ARE SOME WAYS TO DRESS LIKE A MODEL?
A: basic dark fitted Capri's, fitted t-shirt heals and accessorize with bangles..perhaps a cute cap, or light scarf.

Q: WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY FASHION LOOK LIKE?
A: My daily fashion is inspired by a mix of Audrey Hepburn and Dolly Parton and a few modern must haves! This includes fitted capris with basic tshirt and perhaps a mid cover up that wraps in the front with high heals or wedges.. Also Audrey inspired dresses..classic black or summer sundress with flats and slip on wedges.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR NEXT BIG EVENT COMING UP?
A: Our next event is a New York black tie Gala sponsored by the National Hispanic Business Network to help raise money for students and small businesses. Our crew will be there capturing the festivities and our models will be greeting and hosting the guest from different corporate businesses

Many young girls and women dream about being in the fashion business in any way possible. A lot of these young girls and women would kill to become fashion designers, fashion writers, fashion editors, fashion models, fashion photographers, or store owners. Look at me, I love fashion and I am hoping to touch people all over the world with my love of fashion through blogging. As a new blogger, it’s going to be rough trying to gain credibility and a loyal following. That’s why TrendSeeder sought me out.

TrendSeeder is a startup fashion company and an ecommerce site that provides a platform for up and coming designers trying to reach fashion forward consumers who are looking for exclusive, limited edition couture. TrendSeeder is set to launch on July 4th, 2012. They will be featuring men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. Each week, one piece will be featured from an up and coming designer. However, this special piece will be limited quantity and exclusive to the one and only TrendSeeder. That’s why TrendSeeder is so special. As of now, 20 designers are signed up which includes Althea Harper, Ernest Alexander, and Daniella Kallmeyer. A style board is set to feature executives from Saks, Barney’s, The Albright Fashion Library, and more!

TrendSeeder deserves a lot of credit, because they are seeking out the underdogs in this fierce fashion world full of competition. Their new site will send up and coming designers throbbing! Also, TrendSeeder will help new fashion bloggers (like me) find success. That’s what TrendSeeder is all about. TrendSeeder roots for the new people in fashion who are trying to make it. You should also be rooting for the up and coming fashion people. After all, they are tomorrow’s stars.

1) Who are you & what do you do?
My name is Avani and I'm the Founder and CEO of TrendSeeder.

2) Who do you admire in the fashion world?
Coco Chanel because she revolutionized fashion. She was a very strong woman who forged her path in fashion. She was a visionary and wasn't afraid to take risks. She took the color black from symbolizing mourning to being chic. Her pieces were timeless. She really was a fashion icon.

3) What are your favorite pieces in fashion?
I love so many things--it's so hard to choose. But some of my absolute favorites are:
a) McQueen -- just about anything he designed. His dresses, pants and bags were all amazing
b) Yigal Azrouel dresses.
c) Rick Owens jackets.
d) Proenza Schouler skirts
e) Aperlai shoes
f) Khirma Eliazov bags
g) Ernest Alexander bags for men
I could go on forever....

4) What made you decide to start TrendSeeder?

When I was in law school I started my own fashion label. I continued with it for a few years but got to a point where I had to choose between my corporate law career and my fashion career. I decided I wanted to get the most out of my legal career but I would return to the fashion world as some point.

During my foray into the fashion realm I realized how difficult it was to be an emerging designer and that there were some amazing emerging designers out there. I also noticed that a lot of designers were not interested in the business aspects of having a fashion line.

After 6 years of practicing law I decided I wanted to go back to the fashion world--but didn't quite know in what capacity so I decided to get my MBA. While sitting in an entrepreneurship class--I had my aha moment. I realized I could help emerging designers by helping them with the aspects of the business that most of them did not have the training to deal with. Also, I saw the archaic way the retail business was run and realized there could be a better way to do it. That is when TrendSeeder was born.

5) Can you explain to me what TrendSeeder is?
TrendSeeder is your front row seat to the hottest designers you wish you already knew. We serve almost as a fashion incubator--where we feature exclusive, limited-edition pieces from emerging designers. You can also come to TrendSeeder to read about these hot new designers and their companies. We also will keep you updated on the happenings in the industry.

6) How does TrendSeeder work?
Designers design exclusive pieces for TrendSeeder which are curated by our Style Board. Our Style Board consists of branding and fashion experts from industry leaders like Saks and Barney's. We put the item up for sale with an article about the designer and the brand. You get to place an order--but only if we don't sell out first! We will only be making a limited number of pieces--and the first people to buy them will get them at "First Mover" exclusive price--after that they will be full retail. We close the sale either at the end of two weeks or until we are sold out--whichever comes first. The items are then manufactured semi-custom for our customers. You receive your amazing product in a beautiful package about 6 weeks later.

7) What designers will be featured?
We have an amazing line-up coming your way--and everyday we are signing on new designers.
We have a bag line from Paris--which is designed and manufactured in Paris--called Disco Noir. Also there is an amazing womenswear designer from New York called Daniella Kallmeyer designing the perfect "little black dress" just for our customers. Then there's Ernest Alexander, who makes the most amazing men's bags. Then there are the perfect statement necklaces from Melissa Draugsvold.

9) Describe the fashions that will be featured
It will be items that are highly designed. It's meant for people who are looking for something interesting that very few people will have. It's for the trendsetters and first adopters of the world--those who want something new and fresh.

The items are produced locally by designers--so most of our New York designers will produce right here in New York City.
