Mr. Sam Nazarian is back at it again. The mastermind behind SLS Beverly Hills is finally showing the East Coast some love with the new opening of the 140 room SLS South Beach Miami. Taking over the same spot as the old Ritz Plaza Hotel on Collins Ave. This new hotel is the epitome of luxury. Originally the building was built in 1939, it is the tallest and last art deco structure on Collins Ave.

Designed by Philippe Starck with some help from Lenny Kravitz (uuum is there anything Lenny can't do??) and joining this fabulous hotel is award winning chef Jose Andres with his second Bazaar restaurant and master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi with his eighth Katsuya location. While Philippe Starck’s artistic vision is written all over this swank hotel, the Tower Penthouse and Villa Penthouse was created by Lenny Kravitz and Kravitz Design Inc. The fourth of its kind has already been renamed Hyde Beach due to its oceanfront location.
