Emerging Trends Fashion ChallengeWritten by Planet Fashion TV 15 July 2012
Paris, FRANCE - On July 7th 2012, the Emerging Trends Fashion Challenge event was held. Hailing designers from different fashion spectrums, this fashion competition highlighted trends from all corners of the world including Norway, Pakistan, Canada, and the USA.
Likening itself after hit programs such as Project Runway, the event hosted three high profile industry professionals as judges; Barry Laden, Artem Balaev, and TellusFashion editor, Olivia Pinnock. Artem Balaev is the co-Founder and General Producer of Aurora Fashion Week in St. Petersburg, Russia. Barry Laden is a British fashion entrepreneur who created The Laden Showroom, the UK's largest independent showroom and retail space.
The event presented five designers; Rudy Wolff (Norway), Jamie Ochrey (USA), Kristi Vosbek (Canada), Christine Manthey (USA), and the Nayna Fashion House (Pakistan). After the showcase, the judges took their time to deliberate on choosing the winner. Announcing first the runners up, Rudy Wolff and Kristii Vosbeck, Christine Manthey (www.mantheycollection.com) was then named the winner, being presented with a lovely trophy and $5,000 USD!
Not only were the designers from all parts of the world, the main organizers HYPE Fashions, based in France and SYNERGY Events based in New York invited stylists from London leading a team of British and French make-up and hair stylists. Other members of the team came from Holland and Abu Dhabi with many of the models flying in from Budapest, Hungary. Photographers and press turned out as well from Spain and UK.
Truly an international team!
