I have to admit that my closet is my favorite room in my entire house. Yes, I said room! My closet is a small room attached to my bedroom. I spend a lot of time in my closet pulling together outfits and switching outfits. In fact, I even have my office inside of my closet! My closet is a bit crowded. When I move out, I am planning on having a closet at least double the size of the one I have now. If you're into fashion, you know that a closet is an important space. That's why I created my own personal rules for the closet.

1. Organization! I am a neat person and I think closets should be the ultimate space to keep neat. It's no fun getting dressed in the morning when you can't find that cute cheetah print scarf to match your outfit or you have to dig through a pile of tee shirts to find your peep toe heels. I have my closet color coded and it makes a world of difference! However, you can also organize your closet by the type of clothing, what you wear the most, season, dressy, casual, whatever you like!

2. Have a shoe rack! Invest in a shoe rack to place all your shoes. It saves space, majorly. This is another organization technique. When I was younger, I threw my shoes all over the place and it was a mess.

3. Clean out after every season. I think I may have somewhat of a hoarding problem with my clothes. I always think that I will wear the clothes next year, but it never happens. I put on something and I toss it to the side over and over again. I recently cleaned out my closet and it feels great! I have so much more room and my closet is filled with what I actually wear. Another piece of advice, take your old clothes to a consignment shop and earn money! Take this earned money and buy more clothes.
