Korea Japan reported that Girls Generation beat Kara in surpassing the million album copies for their first Japanese album ‘Girls Generation’ that was released back in June of 2011.
Girls' Generation (Korean: 소녀시대; Sonyeo Shidae (pronounced So No Shi Day) is a nine-member South Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2007. They are also referred to as SoShi (소시) or SNSD, both abbreviated forms of the group's Korean name.
