Skrillex & Damien Marley, 'Make It Bun Dem': Dubstep Phenom & Jr. Gong Release Reggaestep Track

Sonny Moore, the producer behind much of the resurgence of major dubstep as a genre in American dance music, has already notched some impressive collaborations. Recording as Skrillex, he has released a track with the surviving members of The Doors, stopped by Kanye West's hotel room for some shop talk and teamed up with now-girlfriend Britpop star Ellie Goulding on his last EP, Bangarang!
Oh, he's 24-years-old and has three Grammys.
And now, he has embarked on another cross-genre sprint, releasing "Make It Bun Dem" with Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. The reggae-dubstep track is pretty much what you'd expect -- Marley's bouncy, lush vocals over a reggae beat layered over a wobbly track that would be at home on any of Skrillex's releases. The two seemingly discordant sounds may have worked a little better if Skrillex had been able to resist throwing the stabby synths that herald the coming of the hook.
