Perry Ellis Spring /Summer 2016 collection for New York Men’s Fashion Week was all about the modern male uniform. Creative director Michael Maccari presented his take on the new urban male on his way to and from work and the gym. This is a relaxed collection that mixes active wear and work clothes to come up with soothing entirely new. These clothes have a young down-town feel. There is a trend in Men’s fashion towards the ridiculously sloppy. Luckily Maccari has kept some sense of real world /real job style in his designs. Its a contrast to what would come to mind when you think of traditional Perry Ellis, but this collection was still one of the highlights of men’s fashion week.
