United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) unveiled the latest members of their World Heritage List, which commemorates famous natural and cultural sites around the globe. To be considered in the final list, the country has to meet at least one of the ten criteria from representing a masterpiece of human creative genius" to being an area of "exceptional natural beauty and aesthetic importance." The batch of 2011 includes prime examples of all, as well as the world's number one flamingo foraging place, elaborate Persian gardens, and the legendary stomping ground of Lawrence of Arabia.
