British artist Damien Hirst looks to connect the dots in a big way with the opening of a global show at New York's Gagosian Gallery for his body of coloured spot paintings.

They will be featured at the various locations: three galleries in New York, two in London, and one each in Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Athens and Geneva. The show, titled The Complete Spot Paintings 1986-2011, opened yesterday and runs through to February 10.
