The designer quota up at the opening of the Daphne Guinness exhibition like Valentino, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Mary McFadden, Lisa Perry, Yigal Azrouël and Angel Sanchez. Daphne Guinness said “I’m very nervous; I have no idea if people will like it or not like it”. “I’ve been working on this for two years and it’s been a collaborative effort. This whole experience, putting this together, has been very surreal.”
The interior design of a gallery’s mirrored walls and scrims were intended to be evocative of Guinness’ uptown apartment.
Daphne Guinness has designed a collection of clothing with Dover Street Market and released an eponymous fragrance in 2009 with Comme des Garçons. For so many years, she also collected fashion especially haute couture. In 2010 she also brought the entire wardrobe of the late Isabella Blow with her reasons 'prevent Issie’s possessions becoming mere morbid memorabilia… to preserve it'. Daphne Guinness has also a big interest with armour; she approached her great friend Shaun Leanne to make her a gold and diamond arm glove.
