Whenever I go to Europe its always for work. I try to get there a few days earlier than the job so I can get used to the time change and over the jet lag. I left a few days early to cover London Fashion Week this year which started on Feb 17th. I left on the 13th and arrived on Valentine's Day. I flew on this crap airlines called TAP it's a Portuguese airline. I flew through Lisbon Portugal for a layover on the way to London. I got this super cheap ticket on TAP airline from Expedia and because my ticket was so low cost, TAP airline wanted to charge me for luggage. Usually on any international flight 2 pieces of luggage are free but this lame airline wanted to charge me 70 dollars for my second bag.
When I got to Portugal the Portuguese security check threw out my tooth paste and hair gel because they said you couldn't have liquids over a certain amount in your luggage. Toothpaste??? Come on! I had a 3 hour layover in Portugal and I left with a bad impression.
When I finally got to London I was so exhausted because I couldn't sleep on the flight, but I took a train in to town and had a quick meeting with the videographer Eva over a glass of champagne. They were actually having a champagne special at a little bar at the train station. Then I left her to go to Bristol outside of London to meet my friends for a Valentines Day Ball. My friend Matthew is producing a period drama film based on a Heinrick Ibsen novel and actually moved in to one of his locations, and old English manor.
