For ten days luxury craftsmen from Hermes will demonstrate their skills at De Hollandsche Manage in Amsterdam at the Hermes Festival des Métiers. Inside these stables you will be able to view how Hermes most famous Kelly bag is made, their silk scarves, screen prints that are transferred onto their porcelain dishware, the intricacies of watch making, and saddle making. That is how Hermes first got into business you know. So of course a horse riding school is the perfect location to exhibit to the public. It’s next to number 179 on the Overtoom. Oh and the entrance to the event is free. Hermes will have their temporary office here from April 1st until the 10th 2016. Note: Closed April 4thAbout Hermes:
Hermès was founded by Thierry Hermès in Paris in 1837, as a house of master harness-making and later saddle-making. Since that time six generations of enterprising artisans have explored new markets and new skills. Now international in scope Hermès has continued to grow while remaining a family company, with a uniquely creative spirit that blends precision manufacturing with traditional craftsmanship.
