The popular England indie rock trio recently announced (look below) that they are extending their U.S tour. I guess the U.S just can’t get enough of their chill out vibe. The soft vocals and alluring musical arrangements are captivating. They have been together since 2005, forming in England. The group was crafted by Oliver Sim, Romy Madley, and Jamie Smith. Oliver on the bass while providing vocals. Romy also provides vocals and plays guitar. The duo later added DJ Jamie Smith (Jamie xx) with a few other musicians rotating in and out depending on the performance needs. Their highly ranked debut xx was released in August 2009. Their most recent album Coexist released in 2012, spawned the popular hits Angels and Chained. The duo are doing a wonderful 25-performance residency of 40-person-capacity shows at Manhattan’s historic Park Avenue Armory. After the residency the group will begin the extension of their tour and play in small in small venues.

During this tour, they will take the opportunity to try out new things with a more stripped down production. I am predicting an intimate setting that will allow the audience to feel as though The xx are perform right in your living room. Tickets will go on sale February 14th at 10am local time here.
