Lockdown has inspired all of us to learn new hobbies or perfect those we already have some skill in. For artists it has acted as a “muse” inspiring new projects and products. We thought it would be fun to take a virtual peek behind closed doors with Artists across the globe and let them share their latest songs, paintings, clothing, and so much more.
For the first installment of the series we checked in with Daniela Zahradnikova of DZZONE NYC and Peter Reginato an American Abstract sculptor and painter. Together they have produced two successful collections that epitomise the ultimate definition of wearable art. A series of hand painted limited edition handbags and a collection of 100% silk scarves featuring Reginato’s most recent work Tinkerbell. All pieces are numbered, signed and accompanied with a certificate of authentication.
The shutdown has influenced their third collaboration, a series of hand painted and signed t-shirts with a percentage of sales being donated to help NYC and NJ in the fight against COVID-19. The tees carry on the whimsical color combinations unique to Reginato’s work while also bringing some color into a world that at the moment feels so dark.
In the words of Oscar Wilde “One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art”
