For their much-anticipated return to Paris Fashion Week in a physical format, expectations were high and, of course, unsurprisingly met by Christian Dior and designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Chiuri has spent the last 18 months looking through Dior archives and falling in love with the 1960s youth fashion revolution all over again, which she channels in this season’s collection. From flashy monochrome colors to avant-garde club-meets-athletics pieces, the unveiling of Dior’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection was more than just a quiet return to Paris Fashion Week. Chiuri wanted, “Something graphic and clean, minimal and positive. Because I think we have to give an optimistic outlook to the future.”
Although it is near impossible to rank the ‘60s-inspired looks, here are five that particularly stood out:

1- Among strictly retro-inspired pieces were a few clearly sportswear related outfits, including this one. The bright blue hue and robe to match fit perfectly in the Dior’s flashy spring collection.

2- Who said hot pink could only be worn in the summer? Certainly not Dior.

3- With a node to Dior archives of the past, it comes as no surprise to see flapper-inspired dresses on their runway this season. Paired with a gold purse and shiny shoes, this is every girl’s dream GNO look.

4- Ah, monochrome. Will it ever get old? With green being the color of the year, this look just had to make it on the top 5 list.

After being shunned for many years, denim-on-denim is finally making a return and spreading like wildfire on the runways– and honestly, we’re here for it.
