Anna Wintour “wreaked havoc” on New York Fashion Week when she left town early to prepare for the Vogue World extravaganza in London that she created.

The move allegedly left NYC designers scrambling to finish their collections so they could show Wintour ahead of time. Vogue World is literally London’s answer to the Met Gala.

Some of the biggest names from fashion and Hollywood, descended on the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the West End of London.

Vogue World, described as “a multi-act celebration of the British performing arts”, has been contrived by Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, as a way of raising vital funds for London’s struggling arts scene.

The hour-long evening event is set to feature a catwalk show and live performances overseen by the Billy Elliot director, Stephen Daldry, with a lineup including Kate Moss, Stormzy, Idris Elba and Michaela Coel.

However, this isn’t just another starry fundraiser.

With rumors of a behind-the-scenes power struggle between Wintour and the outgoing British Vogue editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, the event has become a prime opportunity for Wintour to reaffirm herself as the most powerful person in fashion.

Meanwhile in New York fashion designers, who were showing during New York Fashion Week, had to scramble and get their designs ready days before to make a private presentation to Wintour before she left for London, which was since most of the time collections are finished last-minute.
