The Italian Fashion House Fendi, has partnered with Ledger to craft tech based fashion
accessories. They are set to launch two respective crypto hardware wallets in the very near
future: June 2022 to be exact! This new venture signifies a stylish turn for the metaverse. A truly
unique spin onto the digital sphere, this collection pays homage to the Italian powerhouse and
solidifies the brand’s legacy beyond the physical sphere. Fendi and Ledger’s collection debuted
on web3. Web3 is a decentralized app that runs on blockchain. The actual tech designs however,
were unveiled at Fendi’s most recent Men’s Fall/Winter 2022-2023 Show. The wallets provide a
stylish way to protect and manage one’s own crypto currency. The wallets were designed by
Fendi’s very own creative director of accessories, menswear and childrenswear, Silvia Venturini
Fendi.

Ledger has been busy teasing fans on its upcoming collaboration with Fendi. The official Twitter
account stated, “Watch the @Fendi Men ‘s Fall/Winter 2022-2023 fashion show today at 2.00pm
CET to see a glimpse of the near future, where digital memories & collectibles live
hand-in-hand. #FendixLedger.” Ledger goes in depth on the collections formation as well as its
aesthetic components that can be expected. Fashion fans alike will be happy to hear that both
wallets are staying true to Fendi’s signature style. One design features a rectangular appearance
that is incredibly reminiscent of the brand’s famous “Baguette” bag, and is a miniature version
crafted from aluminum and features embossed rivet and buckle detailing. This wallet opens up to
reveal a nicely organized pocket for the Ledger Nano X digital wallet. The second wallet ramps
up the Fendi Delfina Delettrez “O’ Lock” chain in a cute capsule shape!

The hardware wallet even comes with an embossed FF frame and concealed hinge that flips open and closed (how
chic and practical). Both of these unique designs have a rotating snap hook to attach to a bag or
belt and an adjustable cord lanyard with double toggles. Vintage is the game and fendi plays it
well, as this collection features a reimagining of a gentleman’s wardrobe for the new roaring
twenties! The future is indeed, now. The company stated, “Recognizing the creative and
collaborative spirit of the crypto community, these first pieces offer a glimpse at a near future,
where digital memories and collectibles live hand-in-hand with tangible objects d’art.” A major
move for Fendi as well as the verse, this collection has anticipated the exponential growth of the
virtual sphere, while keeping it cute. What are your thoughts on wallets for virtual currency?
