Is Fashion Reality TV Dead?

Well I should really start off saying was it even ever alive…there are pretty few fashion reality TV shows that have actually been successful. That very very short list includes shows like Project Runway and Americas Next Top model. But when I try to think about other good fashion related reality, my mind goes blank and I start to hear crickets chirping in there.

Besides those few shows there really isn’t any original or interesting fashion TV reality. Fashion Journalist and New York Times Critic, Cathy Horyn has said Fashion Reality TV “underscores the death of Originality in the Fashion world.”

I’m not hesitant to say she just may be right, I’m already bored with the number of crappy fashion related reality like Brad Goreski’s, It’s a Brad Brad World (I mean really that name pretty much says it).

So, tell us is Fashion Reality TV the downfall of fashion? What fashion reality would you like to see on TV?  Perhaps a Jersey Shore Fashion reality? Just kidding, all we really need is more Planet Fashion TV episodes.
