Jaccquemus, the french brand known for its signature micro bags and bold color palette, is rumored to be diving into the beauty industry, with a new beauty line. The brand and designer have not yet made the official announcement on the collection or its release, but according to Dazed, Simon Porte Jacquemus has branded a deal with Puig, the Spanish luxury conglomerate that looks after the beauty extensions of other brands and designers Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten, Paco Rabanne, and Comme des Garçons. Early intel revealed that the french designer plans to introduce his beauty line early next year.

French fashion design houses like Chanel and Dior were solely fashion-based before they ventured into creating their beauty collections, so there is no doubt in our mind that the Jacquemus brand will thrive when the beauty line is released. We can definitely hope for some sort of skin care like moisturizer and face and lip scrubs. A fragrance would also be fitting since other fashion brands have their signature scents such as J’adore Dior, Chanel No. 5, and So Scandal! Since the Jacquemus brand is also known for having some bright and bold color combinations, we should also expect some packaging to go with that bold color scheme. A lipstick, liner, and line would also be exciting to see, as well as basic face makeup like foundation, bronzer, and a set of brushes.
Even though I do not personally wear makeup, I am super excited to see what Simon Porte Jacquemus comes up with for this new beauty line. I already love the brand for its clothing and bags, but I would definitely be more willing to experiment with beauty and makeup once this collection comes out. Beauty and fashion lovers alike will be lining up to buy anything and everything from the line, no matter what the price is. Imagine putting you’re brand new Jacquemus lip duo in you’re white micro bag, applying some of their setting spray, and then adding a spitz of their fragrance before leaving for the day? I know I can.
