Reggae is having a rebirth and connecting internationally with the trend crowd. Reggae is still conscious and happy music, yet it is also evolving in refreshing new ways. The summer has officially been kicked off in Miami at an album release party and concert of Jamaican Reggae artist Jesse Royal.  He is setting a fresh creative tone in the music scene.

Jesse Royal is part of an emerging group of artists combining Roots Reggae and Jamaican Dancehall that result in upbeat and uplifting music that attracts a wide audience of diverse backgrounds and ages.  The focus of the music is freedom, kindness and dedication to the almighty.

Jesse Royal follows up the release of Lily of da Valley, with another full-length studio album Royal that features hits Natty Pablo and most recently Rich Forever, in which he is joined by iconic Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel.  The release party and concert was a well attended event at the Oasis in Wynwood Miami.  It was an energetic set along with a very high intensity crowd, enjoying all that Jesse had to offer, including the Rich Forever track, as well as being joined by fellow celebrity Reggae artists: Protoje, Lila Ike, Shaggy and Konshens on several other crowd favorites.

Royal is definitely one of Jamaica’s most charismatic young stars. His sophomore album release Royal, solidifies the singer-songwriter as a key player in the island’s current reggae movement along with his contemporaries Chronixx, Protoje, and Koffee, all of which have a modern take on the reggae genre, while connecting with the fashion tastemakers as well.
