PLANET FASHION TV will host a private menswear fashion week event on February 7th, 2018 from 3 pm. The event titled the Trend Collective will feature a runway fashion show with capsule collections of international luxury wear. A complimentary afternoon cocktail with live music and men’s accessories presentations from 4 pm to 6:30 pm will follow the fashion show.

Launched only a couple of years ago, New York Men’s Fashion Week is now the largest fashion event for menswear in the United States. Set in the American fashion capital, New York City, it is a highlight of press and male influencers. 

Part of the official CFDA Fashion Calendar, the event will be held at the esteemed Midtown Lofts venue in Manhattan, overlooking the Empire State Building and the New York City Skyline. 

To kick off the series of presentations, the Italian luxury swimwear brand Olmaia will debut their new swim shorts collection for men. With origins in the Tuscan Coast, designer Federico Signorelli, first found the inspiration to create his unique swim shorts along the coast of Maremma, Italy. Elegant and versatile, his Olmaia Swim Shorts are made of the highest quality, with water-specialized fabrics and classic natural materials from all around the world.

Starlife Fashion Co. by Steven Shipley is also one of the participating brands. Shipley, a Texan native has created a fresh and new activewear line for men that represents a unification of culture. His boutique in Austin caters to sports celebrities from the NBA to champions in the X Games and skateboarding world. His cool crew of guys regularly represents his line all over America. His new collection is made for the modern man.

Lindsay Nicholas with her brand of the same name creates clothes that are finely tailored to encourage and compliment, with style, a contemporary lifestyle. Her clothes deliver a powerful message of work-life balance, a dream combination, where style also becomes efficient. At NYFW Menswear F/W 2018 she will debut a unisex collection that will further challenge the gender dynamic and expand upon her signature trademark of making clothes that can be “worn year-round. Day or night. Work or play, and everything in between. Her new collection will not only be the go-to for the modern day working female but will also turntable by appealing to a growing number of extremely fashion literate, emerging male and female customers looking to de-gender their style. This Made in New York brand is one to watch in the coming year. 

Besides the fashion, the event will feature live sounds by local New York DJ Ken Herman known as Exitpost, who has recently collaborated with Betsy Johnson for her latest fashion campaign. In addition, guests will be able to meet the designers and see their collections up close at the after party brand pop-up.

Finally the luxury motorbike Ducati will have a presentation of their cutting-edge men’s sportswear and apparel.

Guests can also enjoy beverages by La Croix Sparkling Water, delicious cocktails and organic catering.
