For his Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Samuele Failli looks at Seventies’ Haute Couture.

In particular, the designer focuses on specific details and elements of that period to inject a new twist into his range of luxurious shoes, which perfectly combine cutting-edge design with impeccable fit and comfort.

Eye-catching draped knots embellish the ankles of a pair of mid-calf high-heeled boots with a rounded toe, which are crafted from upscale leather. The signature knots also appear on the elegant flat styles.

A pair of sensual stretch over the knee boots with a killer stiletto heel and a Nineties’-inspired bootie with a pointed toe are embellished by sophisticated V-shaped ruffles. These are worked in a luxurious soft leather treated with exquisite ready-to-wear techniques.

Inspired by Roberto Capucci’s creations, Samuele Failli also embellishes the ankle of a bootie with a 16th century-like leather graff, while a pair of sandals are decorated with sculptural flames for a touch of glamorous extravaganza. Flames are also recreated through the multi- layer leather fringes decorating a group of shoe styles featuring chunky heels and rounded toes.

The color palette, which is strong on classic tones of black, white, blue, brown, red, mauve and nude rose, is enlightened by pops of bright colors, including lime green, hot pink and turquoise.
