Serena Uziyel has a great new shoe line that already has a lot of people in the fashion industry talking. She was recently named “emerging designer of the year” by Vogue. She has been interviewed by Forbes and has received coverage in Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harpers, In style magazine and Vogue several times.
What sets her apart from other shoe designers is her attention to craftsmanship.
Serena Uziyel, graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, where she worked with a variety of luxury brands including Moschino, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan.
She honed her shoe-making and design skills in Milan and Florence. After completing her studies, she worked with Devi Kroell in New York and participated in numerous shoe design projects for Judith Leiber and Escada.
Serena spent two years in Spain for Zara International before establishing Shoes and Bags Collection of Sanayi 313. She had the privilege to learn the technical and theoretical shoe crafting skills from the veteran Grandmaster Giuseppe Joseph Amolo, in Florence, Italy.
Her immense admiration for tradition, art and handicraft led her to establishing her own brand in 2019.
The Serena Uziyel Collection is available for purchase online and in-store at the brand’s Flagship Boutique in Istanbul. It is now with premier online retailer Net-a-Porter Fall 2020.
