Following the rise in popularity of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Italian powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana exploded onto the scene with its innovative collection, Collezione Genesi. The Venice inspired collection featured nine pieces with only five having physical designs, while the other four were sold exclusively on UNXD, a digital luxury marketplace. With an estimated worth of $6.1 million in market rates, the move to NFTs has demonstrated why Dolce & Gabbana has remained a top luxury brand for the last thirty years.

Despite having only four virtual pieces, these items proved to be quite profitable. The Dodge Crown, one of the collection’s virtual pieces, sold for a whopping $1. 25 million, making it the highest selling piece of the collection. Collezione Genesi’s success can be sited from its completely unique creations from the minds of Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana, and UNXD. The luxury brand has even been hailed as creating the most intricate NFT fashion yet. It’s clear that Dolce & Gabbana has solidified itself as the face of the next evolutionary step in fashion.
