Loewe, the Spanish luxury fashion house, is launching a capsule collection inspired by Studio
Ghibli’s 2001 film Spirited Away. This collection follows the brand’s first collaboration with the
Japanese animation studio last January, where creative director Jonathan Anderson revealed a
capsule collection inspired by My Neighbour Totoro.
“I love how [Studio] Ghibli has been able to achieve this incredible kind of emotional craft and
apply it to an image,” Anderson says in an interview. “Spirited Away is one of my all-time
favorites.”

The LOEWE x Spirited Away collection includes a variety of ready-to-wear pieces and
accessories, including T-shirts, cardigans, sweatshirts, denim trousers, and puffers. Pieces also
feature characters from the film including the protagonist Chihiro, as well as Haku, Yubaba, and
many other beloved characters such as Kaonashi, Aogaeru, Otori-Sama, Boh and Fly-Bird, and
the Susuwatari. There are non-apparel pieces as well, including blankets, scarves, and leather
and canvas bags.

“Studio Ghibli’s exquisite storytelling is matched by a tireless dedication to craft in order to bring
their enchanting films to life,” Anderson said in a press release. “Such love for the possibilities of
craft—and the painstaking nature of working by hand—is something we truly nurture at LOEWE.
This shared commitment to the magic of handcrafted things is where our connection lies.”
The collection will be available to shop starting January 7 on loewe.com.
