Back in 99’, model Kimora Lee Simmons created the brand as an offshoot to her then-husband’s brand Phat Farm.
The brand rose to prominence in the 2000s’, worn on celebrities like Lil’ Kim, Pink, Alicia Keys, Raven-Symoné,
and Trina. It was relaunched in December 2019, collabing with Forever 21. After that, the brand took a small break
after selling some products on their website such as face masks and lip glosses. Now, the brand is selling a new
collection exclusively at Macy’s and on their website. The collection includes velour tracksuits, denim jeans, jackets,
and jumpsuits, and Y2K-esque puffer coats. The collection is not as affordable as the collaboration with Forever 21, but
their pieces are still priced fairly. Here is a look into some of the pieces included in the collection!

Zip Front Velour Hoodie – $69.00

Crystal-Embellished Logo Sweatpants – $59.00

White Faux-Faux-Trim Puffer Jacket – $129.00

Long Sleeve Denim Dress – $79.00

The items from Baby Phat’s new collection are, in my opinion, super cute and reminiscent of the
early 2000s’ era, and some of their older designs that were all the rage. I hope the brand will
eventually expand and start selling some of these items, as well as newer pieces on the website,
and maybe even open up a physical location. The Baby Phat brand is something that one that
many of us remember from our childhood, and seeing it reinvent itself in this new age in fashion,
while keeping it’s signature branding is not only great for us, but for the industry as a whole.
