Olena Dats couture collection is the name sake from Ukraine designer Olena Dats.
Her styles are a glamorous combination of traditional influence with a modern twist.
This twist sometimes includes geometric cuts and patterns.
During our “Cocktails and Couture” fashion show at The Carlton Hotel during the Cannes Film Festival in May, we featured one of Olena Dats’ stunning wedding style gowns. The dress was a cream colored silk and detailed with hand stitched embroidery.
But its not everyday that a woman is getting married and wearing such a one of a kind dress.
Olena Dats collection features other dresses and gowns for that everyday special occasion as well. Her Fall/Winter ’14/’15 collection is out now.
The collection consists of knee length and floor length dresses. The colors for this collection range from classic black, to beige, black and beige, electric blue and a combination of all of these colors. Some of the collection is also available in a vibrant fuchsia color.
One of my favorites from this seasonal range is a black button front classically fitting dress with open shoulders and lace long sleeves. This dress is a stunner for cocktail hour.
Another gown I absolutely love is a full skirted ankle length dress with draped bell sleeves. It has a pattern of giant floral leaves in beige and electric blue over black silk.
Sticking to my choice of color blue, in Olena Dats’ collection is a silk kaftan style royal and light blue full length dress. It has a circular pattern on it with a Moroccan feel to its style. I would wear this piece on the perfect beach resort holiday.
