Tesla,-The-Best-Car-In-The-World

The Tesla Model S, a fully electric luxury sedan from Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors, outsold all major luxury brands in California in the first half of 2013.

It outsold other luxury brands like Porsche, Volvo, Jaguar, Lincoln, Audi, Lexus and Land Rover.

The Model S, which starts around $70,000 and can climb toward $100,000, has a younger buyer profile than other luxury models, and a wealthier buyer profile than other electric models.

Most buyers of Tesla have an annual income over $100,000.

California is the largest state for auto sales, and this year’s sales are estimated to rise more than 10 percent over last year.

By comparison, the nation’s top-selling vehicle, the Ford F-Series pickup truck, has only sold 19,887 in California for the first half of the year.

Tesla Motors Inc. saw its stock rise 1.5 percent following the report of California sales.

Now it has also been announced that the Tesla’s Model S Sedan is the safest car ever tested. In independent testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration the Model S received a 5-star safety rating in every category.

The scores are pretty impressive for a company that’s only released one car before this one. The press release goes on to recount some particularly notable moments when testing the Model S, Tesla’s premium electric sedan. Among those:

When testing the car’s rollover risk, “the Model S refused to turn over via the normal methods and special means were needed to induce the car to roll”

When testing how much force it would take to crush the roof of a Model S, the Model S roof broke the machine

So, Model S owners, you can sleep easy!

The best thing though is that it’s sexy as hell!
