Robbers reportedly broke in to a storage unit of Beyonce’s and stole clothing, photographs, and other personal items worth $1 million dollars.
Three Los Angeles storage units rented by the singer’s production company, Parkwood Entertainment, were burglarized twice this month resulting in over $1 million worth of items being stolen, according to TMZ. The Los Angeles Police Department told the outlet that thieves made off with valuables predominantly belonging to the Grammy winner, including very pricey handbags and dresses. They also took handbags, kids toys, and photos belonging to one of her stylists. As of now, no arrests have been made in the case and the LAPD is still investigating.
Beyoncé isn’t the first pop star to have her storage unit broken into either. Earlier this year, Miley Cyrus also lost a number of personal items to theft. In January, the singer’s L.A. unit was broken into and many of her clothes, family photos, and other sentimental mementos were stolen. Law enforcement sources told TMZ they didn’t believe Cyrus was specifically targeted as other units in the same facility were also robbed. While no one has been charged in the case, some of the musician’s items have been recovered.
