Set for the weekend of June 12-15, the festival features a cross-section of artists amid multiple genres.
Produced and promoted by Superfly and AC Entertainment, Bonnaroo draws about 80,000 people a year and includes a comedy tent and film screenings.
There is also a mini-craft beer festival complete with beer classes, and a 5K race. Tickets go on sale February 22 at noon EST and start at $249.50.
As for another annual, acclaimed multi-day music event, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (often just called Coachella) is sold out already.
The legendary Elton John has received top-billing for the 2014 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, often referred to simply as Bonnaroo, this summer.
Other headliners at the four-day event in Manchester, Tenn.: Kanye West, Jack White, Lionel Ritchie, Vampire Weekend, the Avette Brothers and Phoenix.
We imagine not even a man with the ego the size of Mr. Kim Kardashian can complain about Sir Elton John’s name appearing first on the Bonnaroo bill.
