The Met Gala is a fundraiser gala that happens every year to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, but who knew that or who cares? Whenever I read about it all everyone talks about is the fashion or lack thereof. Maybe because it also serves as a time to showcase the institute’s fashion exhibit. Anywho, the event is considered one of the most social exclusive events in New York and each year it raises millions of dollars.
Now onto the most important aspect of the event, fashion! Some celebrities were on point such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Jessica Alba just to name a few. However, others fell short (yeah, I’m looking at you Emma Stone and Gabriel Union).

Beyonce wore a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci custom gown while Jay also wore a Givenchy Haute Couture tux. She also wore a haunting yet beautiful a face mask by Philip Treacy and jewelry by Lorraine Schwart.
Rihanna wore a white ensemble made by Stella McCartney and of course she had to show some skin including those nipple piercings.
Jessica Alba looked beautiful in a gold lace dress created by DVF. Her retro hairstyle further enhanced her classy and simple look.
